Restoration housing modern pinball
The housings of the newer pinball machines are also often very damaged:
- Broken out pieces of wood or missing parts and spalling.
- Clear signs of use from many moves and improper handling
- Glued joints are coming loose
- Faded colors due to UV sunlight
- Spilled beverages that penetrate the bottom of the case and also corrode the metal parts
- Strong temperature fluctuations that cause the wood to swell and crack
The refurbishment
Our master carpenter now has many years of experience in case refurbishment. And this is how it works:
- the cases are first stripped down to the bare wood
- the old decals are completely sanded off
- the case is re-glued where necessary
- then the wood is primed to finish the surface
Spalls are filled, more or less the whole case is filled to smooth the rough structure of the wood. The surface resembles a glass plate before the new decals are glued.
Likewise, the coarse wood structure of the backbox wreath is filled and painted. Thus, a very noble finish is achieved without visible structure
- The edges are rebuilt
- The housings are then sanded several times (coarse-fine)
- The housings are filled with a special material and sanded again until a very smooth finish of the surface is achieved.
- The bottom of the case is also sanded out
- The black areas of the case are repainted (also inside the case)
- Then the sticking with new decals takes place
- Finally, the service and housing decals are renewed

Prices
The prices are of course dependent on the initial condition of the housing.
Price: from* 1.200 Euro incl. VAT.
* We assume here a standard original case in the usual condition. If the housing should be in a very bad condition, with which a clear additional expenditure is to be counted, the price increases. This is always calculated individually. Also we assume here an empty housing
